Chris the material is this or do You want to put also a Gel ?

And for the leader, what is the final color ?

I like the way you work, clean and with clear objectives.

I see you are using a similar foam to the one I am using on my seat. How do you cut and shape it? just using a cutter or a knife? Or are you using also sandpaper to shape it?

I find this kind of foam (or at least the one I have bought) tough to shape

Congratulation for the job Chris. For sure the result will be interesting! ?

The second way of redesign with more volume it' s fine! So the hypothetic curved line that start from the tank will certainly be better connected to close on the red line. Very good!!

The only think I hardly understand its the use of alluminium for the basis... Why use alluminium? Wasn't easier with fiberglass or carbon fiber or, you know, using another old seat?

The use for aluminum is very simple... first of all it can be laser cut for a moderate price... you can rivet it and cut threaded holes for the rails and rubber bumper...

But the biggest advantage of metal is that it does not need TÜV homologation... because it is inflamable

Nice job Chris, now I understand your point on making it out of aluminum. I know it is a good basis to work with but I personally find much easier to work with fiber or carbon fiber.

I like the finish you have got from the aluminum base and the shape of the foam looks very stylish, I look forward to see what kind of leather or material you choose for the seat
