I took a slightly different path. In all posts about the modification of the brakes, they wrote that you need to grind 4 mm off the caliper mountings, and grind the rest off the inner wall of the caliper. But given that the caliper wall is only 4-5 mm, then grinding 3-3.5 mm is suicide. I grinded 6 mm from the caliper mounts and 1.5 mm from the wall. To prevent the caliper from touching the brake disc inside, it was necessary to make and select rings between the brake disc and the hub (1.7 mm fit). I must say, that the 18th radial brake machine with 999 works much worse than the 16th axial one.

And here are the ready brakes. I had to buy a gold clutch machine and new tanks Brembo. The brakes have become excellent, not that they were.

Hi, my name is Roman and I'm from Moscow) Here are a few of my modifications: 1) termignoni exhaust with Moto Morini with alteration, Termignoni for GT1000 I don't like in principle, neither the angle of elevation nor the shape. 2) K&N filter and airbox modification. 3) ECU firmware on full termignoni via TuneECU. I didn't like the rest of the firmware. I drove each one. 4) A star with 14 teeth. 5) Halcyon mirrors. 6) Tail. The motorcycle began to go perfectly! Powerful and fast. Now I have started the most important thing: suspension and brakes. By suspension: Ohlins from sport classic rear shock absorbers, front springs and 13w oil. I absolutely did not have enough regular brakes, so I almost already installed the Brembo gold 4 from MC4R with a radial car from 999. All this requires painstaking milling and manufacturing of spacers for brake discs. If you are interested, I can post a photo and a description of the process.
